The Wolfe Tones are an Irish folk and rebel band founded in Dublin in 1963. They
are known for their committed songs, reflecting Irish republicanism, nationalism
and historical events. The original line-up consisted of Brian Warfield, Derek
Warfield, Noel Nagle and Tommy Byrne. The band takes its name from Theobald
Wolfe Tone, leader of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 and founding figure of Irish
