Dutch rock figure Herman Brood. Formed in Groningen in 1976, the band became
Brood's essential musical support, fusing rock 'n' roll, pub rock, blues and new
wave with raw energy and a provocative aesthetic. It was with the album Shpritsz
(1978), buoyed by the international hit "Saturday Night", that Wild Romance and
Brood achieved major recognition, making him a cult figure in the Netherlands
