Charles Edgar Walker Hayes was born on December 27, 1979 in Mobile, Alabama
(USA). He moved to Nashville with his wife in 2005, hoping to break into the
country music business. As a songwriter, he landed his first contract with
Mercury Records, before quickly switching to Capitol Records. His first success
came in 2010, with the single "Pants", which reached number 40 on the US country
charts. In 2011, he managed to place "Why Wait for Summer" at No. 42. Both
tracks appear on his debut album, Reason to Rhyme, released in 2011. Its
