Timmy Regisford, a Trinidadian-born American DJ and producer, began deejaying in
his teen years. In 1981, he started music production by collaborating with Boyd
Jarvis, which led to remix jobs and a record deal for Jarvis. He hosted the
radio show Saturday Night Dance Party on WBLS with Jarvis. In 1988, Regisford
worked as an A&R executive and producer for Atlantic Records and MCA Records,
producing and remixing tracks for artists such as Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and
