The Rationals were an American rock band formed in 1964 in Ann Arbor, Michigan,
with Scott Morgan as lead singer and guitarist. Their first single, "Gave My
Love", released on local label A 2 Records in 1965, garnered a regional hit and
led to a national distribution deal with Cameo/Parkway; the subsequent single
"Respect" reached number 92 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1966. The group’s
self‑titled debut album, The Rationals, was issued by Crewe Records in early
1970, followed by the live release Temptation 'bout to Get Me in 1995. In 2009,
