The Egg, formed in Oxford, England in the early 1990s, consists of Ned Scott on
keyboards and vocals, Maff Scott on drums, Paul Marshall on bass, and Matt White
on lead guitar. The group emerged from a local electronic dance scene and
released their first EP Shopping in 1995 on Cup of Tea Records. After signing
with China Records, they issued Albumen in 1996, followed by Travelator in 1998
produced by Tim Holmes of Death in Vegas, which entered the UK charts at number
