Harald Walter Bernhard Schubring, known professionally as Ted Herold, was born
on September 9, 1942, in Berlin, Germany. He began his career as a singer in the
late 1950s, initially gaining attention by performing US rock 'n' roll hits for
his classmates. In 1958, he released his first single "Ich brauch’ keinen Ring /
Lover Doll (Ohne Dich)" under the guidance of Bert Kaempfert at Polydor Records.
His second single "So schön ist nur die allererste Liebe" was produced by
