Sydney Youngblood was born on December 2, 1960 in San Antonio, Texas (USA). His
real name is Sydney Ford. He grew up in a musical family and won a local singing
competition at the age of six, whereupon his grandmother named him "Youngblood".
At around the age of twenty, he joins the US army and serves for five years in
Germany. He then began his public solo career with songs from the dance, house
and pop genres. His debut album Feeling Free was released in 1989 and the first
single "If Only I Could" reached number 3 in the UK, Germany and Switzerland and
