From precocious, gifted pianist and soloist with the Orchestre Symphonique de
Québec at the tender age of thirteen, to internationally renowned composer,
Steve Barakatt seems to have had no trouble climbing the ladder. After writing,
composing and arranging numerous musical themes for television and film in
China, Japan, Canada and England, and presenting his symphonic and allegorical
show Ad Vitam Æternam to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Quebec City, the
composer-phenomenon and Unicef ambassador unveiled himself on his first vocal
album, Here I am, released in 2008.
