Born Janae Nierah Wherry on 15 April 1998 in St. Louis, Missouri, the US rapper
known as Sexyy Red gained notoriety following the release of her breakout single
with producer Tay Keith, "Pound Town" in 2023, which achieved viral fame on
TikTok and gave her a taste of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Praised for her
confident demeanor, she was nominated for Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist at
