Sagat
Rapper and house producer Sagat is best known for his 1994 hit "Funky Dat". Born
in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 4, 1970, Faustin Maxim Moran Lenon made a
name for himself as a producer under the pseudonym Chico Jump Slamm, before
choosing the name Sagat. His first track , "Funky Dat", released in 1994,
remains his crowning glory. A club hit, the track reached #63 on the Billboard
Hot 100 in the U.S. and #25 in the U.K., while its follow-up , "Luvstuff",
peaked at #71. Between these two successes, Sagat produced his only album, My
Poem Is... The World According to Sagat (1994)...
