Rin', a Japanese all‑female pop trio, was formed in Tokyo by alumni of the Tokyo
National University of Fine Arts and Music: Mana Yoshinaga (born 20 November
1979), Tomoca Nagasu (born 22 December 1978), and Chie Arai (birthdate unknown).
The group debuted in December 2003 at Meguro Gajoen and released their first
single "Sakitama" on 7 April 2004 under Avex Trax, marking a fusion of
traditional instruments-koto, sangen, jushichi‑gen, biwa, and shakuhachi-with
