The Rainbirds is a German pop-rock band that was founded in Berlin in 1986. It
was formed around singer and guitarist Katharina Franck (born July 28, 1963 in
Düsseldorf), who formed the first line-up with Michael Beckmann (bass) and
Wolfgang Glum (drums). Later, Rodrigo González (from 1988), Ulrike Haage (from
1990, piano and vocals) and, from 1994, drummer Tim Lorenz joined the band.
Since 2014, Katharina Franck has re-formed the Rainbirds with Bela Brauckmann
(drums/keyboards) and Gunter Papperitz (electronics). The Rainbirds play a genre
mix of pop and rock with a clear singer...
