Paloma Rocío Castillo Astorga—known professionally as Paloma Mami—was born on
November 11, 1999, in Manhattan and raised between New York and Santiago. She
first gained attention in 2018 when she self-released the bilingual single “Not
Steady,” which blended trap, dancehall, R&B, and soul and went viral in Chile,
shortly before becoming the first Chilean artist signed by Sony Music Latin.
Subsequent singles like “No Te Enamores” and “Fingías” in late 2018 and March
