Niamh Kavanagh
Niamh Kavanagh, born on February 13, 1968, in Dublin, Ireland, is a singer known
for her contributions to pop music. Her breakthrough came in 1991 when she
contributed vocals to the soundtrack of Alan Parker's film The Commitments.
Kavanagh gained international recognition on May 15, 1993, when she won the
Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland with "In Your Eyes". This song became the
best-selling single in Ireland that year and reached number 24 in the UK charts.
