Marie-Mai
French-Canadian pop star Marie-Mai was born Marie-Mai Brouchard in Varennes,
Quebec on July 7, 1984. A born performer, she grew up she learned to play the
piano and taking numerous roles in musicals. She finished third in the 2003
season of the reality competition program Star Académie where her comfort with
stronger rock material stood her out from the pack. That led to her capturing a
part in a Quebec production of Rent in 2004, the same year she issued her debut
album, the pop oriented Inoxydable. Thanks to an extensive touring schedule, it
