Mari Fernandez, born Mariana Fernandes de Sousa in Alto Santo, Ceará, on
February 19, 2001, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter who emerged as a leading
voice in the piseiro genre. Inspired by her early exposure to music in school
and church, she began playing guitar at age 10 and composing songs by 15. Her
career took off in 2021 with her debut album Piseiro Sofrência, featuring the
viral hit "Não, Não Vou," which reached number 1 on the Brazilian streaming
