Formed in 2013 in the Monterrico neighborhood of Lima, Peru, M2H—short for
Monterrico Hip Hop and also known as Mi Segundo Hogar—started as a collective of
high school friends led by Jota Gallardo and Kaeve, with early members including
MG, Maravi, Sinaka, Jefe MC, and Cazottes. They began by recording lo-fi demos
like “Aunque Te Duela” and “Amor y Castigo” in 2014, gradually refining their
sound at their home studio, Gallardo Records. By 2015 they released their debut
mixtape Primeros Pasos and the album Así Empezó, marking their emergence into
