Loverboy, a Canadian rock band formed in Calgary, Alberta in 1979, consists of
lead singer Mike Reno, guitarist Paul Dean, keyboardist Doug Johnson, bassist
Scott Smith, and drummer Matt Frenette. The band's name was inspired by a dream
that Paul Dean had after spending time with his bandmates and their girlfriends.
Loverboy signed with Columbia Records of Canada in 1980 and released their
self-titled debut album, which sold over one million records in Canada alone and
