Léo Santana, born Leandro Silva de Santana Improta on April 22, 1988, in
Salvador, Bahia, began his musical journey as “Leo Silva,” playing cavaquinho
and pandeiro in local samba and community bands before joining Parangolé as lead
vocalist around 2009, where he rose to national prominence with the massive hit
“Rebolation,” which earned Song of the Year at the 2010 Troféu Dodô e Osmar.
