Kym Mazelle is an American singer born on August 10, 1960 in Gary, Indiana. She is recognized as one of the pioneers of vocal house and transatlantic dance music. Moving to the UK in the 1980s, she became a key figure on the British house scene, fusing the sounds of Chicago house with R&B and soul. She began her recording career in 1987 with the track "Taste My Love", produced by Marshall Jefferson.
