is recognized as one of the pioneers of vocal house and transatlantic dance
music. Moving to the UK in the 1980s, she became a key figure on the British
house scene, fusing the sounds of Chicago house with R&B and soul. She began her
recording career in 1987 with the track "Taste My Love", produced by Marshall
