Kerri Chandler, born September 28, 1969 in East Orange, New Jersey, is an
American DJ and producer recognized as one of the pioneers of deep house. Born
into a family of jazz musicians, he began playing records at the age of 13 and
producing at 14. His first single, "SuperLover/Get It Off", was released in 1991
on Atlantic Records. In the 1980s, he was resident DJ at Newark's Club Zanzibar,
a mecca for New Jersey's deep house scene. He founded Madhouse Records in 1992,
