Born Kaliya Ashley Ross (29 July 2000 in Roswell, Georgia), the US rapper known as Kali got her start in November 2020 after her track "Do a Bitch" caught fire on TikTok. The song's success prompted the release of her debut mixtape This Is Why They Mad Now in 2021, which included a profile-boosting remix of "Do a Bitch" by fellow US rapper Rico Nasty.
