Florence Catherine Currier, known professionally as Jane Morgan, was born on May
3, 1924, in Newton, Massachusetts. She began her musical journey at a young age,
singing operatic arias under the guidance of her mother. After studying opera at
the Juilliard School of Music and performing in nightclubs, she caught the
attention of bandleader Art Mooney, who gave her the stage name Jane Morgan. It
was around this time that French singer Bernard Hilda invited her to perform at
