J. Vincent Edwards, born on June 20, 1947, in England, is a British singer who
gained prominence through his role in the musical Hair in 1968. His early career
included recording several singles, notably "Thanks" (1969), which later
appeared on various compilation albums. Edwards also contributed to the
soundtrack of Bloomfield. Transitioning into songwriting, he collaborated with
Pierre Tubbs to write "Right Back Where We Started From", a hit for Maxine
