Izaline Francisca Juanita Calister, born on March 9, 1969, in Curaçao, is a
Dutch-Curaçaoan singer and composer known for her work in calypso and
jazz-influenced music. She moved to the Netherlands in 1987, studying
administrative economics at Groningen University before pursuing music at the
Prins Claus Conservatorium. Calister gained recognition when she joined Jasper
van’t Hof’s project Pili Pili, replacing Angélique Kidjo. She later sang with
