the group had climbed to the top of the Italian charts with "Sognando la
California," a cover of The Mamas and the Papas' "California Dreamin.'" Although
they scored a similar hit in 1967 with "Senza Luce" — an Italian cover of Procol
Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale" — Dik Dik also released original material,
