Eric Dorgal, known professionally as Def Bond, was born on June 6, 1969, in
Longjumeau, Essonne, France. He began his music career initially as part of the
Marseille-based group Soul Swing during the late 1980s, alongside DJ Rebel, DJ
Majestic, DJ Ralph, Faf Larage, and K-Rhyme Le Roi. His breakthrough moment came
in 1998 with the release of "Secret défense" on Sad Hill with Akhenaton and "Tu
me plais", a collaboration with K-Reen featured on the soundtrack for the film
Taxi. In 1999, he released the single "Old School Love" with American singer
