Full name Daniel Edward Emmett Black, born in Lees on November 16, 1975, Dan
Black is a British singer, songwriter and producer. He began his musical career
in the 1990s as a guitarist in the band Minty, before co-founding Massive Ego.
In 1998, he formed The Servant in London, where he became lead singer, guitarist
and principal composer. The Servant enjoyed modest but notable success,
especially in France, Spain and Switzerland, with two studio albums: The Servant
(2004) and How to Destroy a Relationship (2006). After the group split up in
