Anne Grete Rendtorff, known professionally as Anne Grete, was a Danish singer
born in 1947. She began her music career as a member of Van Dango from 1975 to
1981. In 1980, she launched her solo career with the self-titled album Anne
Grete. Her breakthrough came with the release of "Vintertur på strøget", a cover
of "Complainte pour Ste-Catherine" by Kate & Anna McGarrigle. In 1984, Anne
