Ana G. Egge, born September 20, 1976, in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada, is a
Canadian/American musician and songwriter. She began building her own guitar at
age 16 under luthier Don Musser. Her first recording was a cassette EP released
in 1994, which led to a contract with Lazy S.O.B. Recordings and the release of
her debut album River Under the Road (1997). Egge won the Austin Music Awards
for "Best Singer/Songwriter" and "Best Folk Artist" in 1995. She toured
extensively, sharing stages with artists including John Prine, Lucinda Williams,
