Alejandro Chal Salazar, known professionally as A. Chal, is a Peruvian-American
singer, songwriter, and producer born on May 30, 1992, in Lima and raised in
Queens, New York. He began making music in his teens, eventually breaking out
with the self-released 2013 EP Ballroom Riots. In 2016, A. Chal gained critical
attention with his debut studio album Welcome to GAZI, which featured tracks
like "Round Whippin" and "GAZI" that blended Latin influences with trap, R&B,
and electronic production. His distinctive fusion of English and Spanish lyrics
continued on the 2017 project ON GAZ...
